A Letter from the Principal
Welcome

Immaculate Heart of Mary is devoted to the Marion tradition and shares the mission of all Sydney Catholic Schools.

We therefore commit ourselves to our students by:

  • Celebrating being Catholic in Australia
  • Ensuring quality teaching and learning
  • Making a difference in our world.
Our Community

At Immaculate Heart of Mary we endeavour to create a school community that is welcoming and inclusive.  We aim to live out our motto ‘In Giving We Receive’ in word and action, and invite parents to do the same.  We value strong partnerships and strive to build positive relationships with parents and students.  We believe trust and respect are integral in creating a genuine sense of community.

Teaching and Learning

At Immaculate Heart of Mary we are committed to knowing our students and working together to meet their needs.  We strive to create learning environments where students are engaged in a range of activities that encourage thinking, questioning and problem solving in collaboration with others. Teaching and learning are designed to promote intellectual quality and enhance the student’s capacity to learn.  Learning is personalised, therefore the focus is on knowing each student, their innate abilities, preferred learning styles, interests and needs.  Technology plays a vital role in 21st Century classrooms, creating learning opportunities and experiences that develop the students’ skills as global citizens..
